Avis Drone Labs (ADL) is The University of Sheffield's student-led UAV engineering project. We are an organisation who designs, manufactures and tests a variety of aircraft from simple quadcopters and planes to experimental and research based aircraft.

Projects previously overseen by Falcon, Hex, Kestrel and SunStratos will operate under ADL hereafter. Some of these projects will go on to compete in international competitions, but all of them will generate innovation in engineering, efforts in sustainability and offer valuable skills to future engineers. By merging all existing projects, Avis hopes to facilitate greater inter-team collaboration, increased recruitment prospects and expand our engineering capabilities as a whole.
